Wood dryer balls are a fabulous alternative to dryer sheets.  Many dryer sheets have toxic fragrances and ingredients that are absorbed by the fibers in your clothing and then when you put then on, they are absorbed by your skin.  I put a few drops of essential oil onto the wood dryer balls to freshen them up (no, they won’t stain clothes).  I switched over to wool dryer balls over 2 years ago and haven’t looked back.  They have saved a ton of money; I’ve only replaced them once in the 2 years because my dog kept grabbing them when they fell out of the dryer and thought they were a new play toy!
